Yes, and yes. I think it is an Asterina star. Some people don't mind them. They can sometimes grow to undesirable populations.

I am not 100% sure on the ID, I usually see them on the glass...

Someone smarter than me may chime in with better info.

Yes, it is an Asterina starfish. They multiply by dropping legs. If you see one, you have twenty. I always considered them part of my CUC, only removing the ones I saw on the glass while doing water changes to keep them in check.
