Starphire front glass tempered or annealed?

I am building 2 large plywood aquariums and I will be putting 3/4 starphire glass in the front viewing panels. The question is should I use temper or annealed glass? Drilling and cutting of the glass will not be needed. I figured I would use annealed glass but I would like to hear everyones thoughts and experiences. Tank sizes are a 480 gallon 24 inches tall and a 720 gallon 36 inches tall.
