My midnight clown did that when I was downsizing tanks. I was seeding my 15g peninsula with some rocks from the 40.2 they were in. Apparently I grabbed his favorite rock that hes been with for 8 years. Next day he looked like he had brook. Scared the hell out of me.
He colored up again really quickly though.

I hate clowns lol

One of my favorite fish because they have a personality. Mine use to perch on a high spot in the tank and watch me as I walked around the room. When I'd turn off the powerheads to feed, he'd swim into one of the powerheads and perch there, with his head out watching me. I also had to check the powerheads when I turned them back on. It also had the ability to turn it's "stars" on and off. Sometimes it was pure black and other times it was covered with all those white stars. Neat fish!

Definitely a favorite. Mine laid eggs on the glass next to my algae scraper once.
