Starry Blenny

Quick question,

I have been looking at adding a new fish to the tank, and I am thinking about a Starry Blenny. The only thing I am worried about is I also have an African Midas Blenny and a Diamond Watchman Goby. Will either of these have a problem with the Starry Blenny? Or vice Versa? Appreciate any help!

I wouldnt think so. These are all peaceful fish. You should be good to go

Assuming it’s for the tank in your build thread, you should be okay. I’ve heard of starry blenny beating up the Midas, but those were mostly in smaller tanks. The fact he’s getting added second should help too.

I have never had a starry, but I keep a lawnmower with a midas, bicolor, and a watchman. Starry seems like a lawnmower with cooler colors. Occasionally the midas will kick the bicolor out of a favorite hole. The rest almost never interact. The lawnmower is a bit more aggressive with getting food and will sometimes steal the first chunk from another fish, that is about it.

I have a starry blenny, a orange spotted goby and a watchman goby together without any problems in a 150 gallon tank. The blenny likes to be fed some nori twice a week.

really depends on the territory. I have my starry blenny in a tank with a sailfin blenny. The sailfin blenny does bully the starry blenny. They scuffle but never gotten into a real fight. The real issue I want to warn you is that bennies in general are NOT reef safe- they may nibble coral polyps, as well as clam mantles. (I've lost clams due to these jerks)
