I started a 55 gal tank looking for feedback have it setup for heavy stocking or reef.

What kind of substrate is that?
About the backdrop, what kind of material is that and can fish go behind there?
What are your cycle test results?

40 pounds of pink Fiji sand 20 pounds of black live sand and a couple bags of colorful rocks because the wife and daughter wanted color lol. The background is egg crate fluorescent light diffuser, UV and waterproof pond spray foam with a coat of fiberglass resin then I put pink Fiji dry sand on it while it was still wet. I put a dead shrimp in the tank and waited about 2 months and doing many water changes (it smelled like fiberglass bad). I waited a while even after my level were ok and it was cycled in fear the resin was leaching. Level as of Monday were ammonia NH3 0ppm, nitrite NO2 0ppm, nitrate NO3 30ish ppm, PH was in-between 8.0-8.2 at 8am and 6pm.

Oh and the fish can only go in the back of the background a half inch or so the rest is filled with spray foam.

think you could be looking at trouble with this setup with that wall in the tank your gonna have dead water in the back from not much movement if any at all. saltwater gonna break down the resin. gonna be fatal to any live stock and with the bags of rocks gonna have alot of waste trapped in the rocks. so alot of Detritus build up.
just my two cents I could be wrong.

No man I appreciate it I'm looking for input whole reason I uploaded it lol. I know what your saying and dead water I 2 have that concern but as far as the resin breaking down I don't think that will happen. I don't ever see fiberglass boats break down but I could be wrong. I watched a ton of videos that looks like they work it could go either way I guess.
