I put together a second tank out of spare parts laying around that I plan on using for for frags. I've never had any SPS and I would like to start them in there since it's a strict controlled environment. Also some of my corals in my display need to start getting fragged as they're growing. Total water volume 40 gallons. I don't plan on having any fish, or a sand bed, but I do have a full trickle filter/sump, a protein skimmer, and live rock running on it. The tank has been up and running for a few weeks with a few corals in there that have been getting picked on in the display tank. (Doing well now) I have four different levels of shelving built that I measured with a lux meter to determine which corals I should be put on specific shelves due to lighting needs.

I have a aquatic life T5 HO four bulb light with 2 white and 2 blue bulbs currently.

Primarily my questions are: should I run 4 attinnic instead of the 2/2 split, and if so why?
Secondly would mixing softies, LPS, and SPS altogether in there become a conflict between corals in the tank? As I've heard that softies can release a chemical toxic to the SPS.

Bueller, anyone, Bueller?

I think I have the second part of my question figured out with carbon but still confused on bulb selection
