Hey now. I am starting up a tank real soon and wasn’t sure if I should add bio pellets as soon as I start the tank up, or should I do it little at a time?? I’ve been doing research reading posts on here but they were back in 2011. I didn’t know if anything changed on this subject.

Is that because if used improperly it can cause cyano? I can add my carbon right away right?

If you want to get ready for the Apocalypse, two things cause people to leave the hobby, algae and fish deaths, so get a QT going, and start a fugue, or get a proper algae reactor.

already have a QT. I am into planted tanks And axolotls. Algae is a fact of life in my opinion, it’s just how much. A little Co2 goes a long way...

I’m gonna set up a salt QT once I add water to main tank. I don’t plan on buying fish for a long time (2 months in and I’ll begin to think about it).

I iust wanna be ready. No surprises. i also have to take advantage of how far my American dollar goes in Canada right now. It’s $1 equals $1.40 in Canada right now. It’s like high way robbery With some things :)
