Starting a North Carolina club

I'm up here in extreme western NC so we are short on local resources in terms of LFS and such but recently our # of local reefers has been increasing so I'm hopefuly that this trend is across the state and not just "up here" in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

I'm interested to see if y'all and pull something together.

Who all is going to Aquatic Expo this weekend?
Do you think you could possibly send a ticket in about this NC club so we have more vocallity in this? If you can it would be much appreciated.

I'm in Concord near Charlotte. I am down also!

I am in China Grove, NC. I am not a very social person, but would possibly go to swap meets, etc.

I think a local monthly or quarterly swap meet would be great. Everyone would list what corals they had available and who wanted what. During the quarter, make the trades through communication and get them ready for the swap. This way, everyone is bringing their frags to trade for the others talked about. Bring some extras incase anyone has extras willing to trade. This is always a better approach than showing up with corals and hoping people want to trade or trade for what you want.

That would be the best way for people to get involved and show up. I think the days of everyone just getting together and talking reef are over with social media, etc. Sad but true.

I think this will be able to work with enough dedication

That was my nickname when I was in the Marine Corps because I always had a girlfriend when we were in Italy, France, and Spain, we use to have to go on mediterranean cruises with the Navy through Europe.

I have no problem with doing that except, I don't understand what "send a ticket in" means or where/how I do it. :)
