im in the gathering stage of everything, im getting a 75 gallon tank and starting with a FOWLR and eventually will go to coral. ive researching everything but i was wondering what you all get for a 75 gallon tank. like lighting wise, powerheads and such. what fish should i start out with? ive looked up some good beginner fish and am def. getting a pair of clown fish but what else should i get besides inverts. i know i should only start off with a couple of fish and then work my way up, so im starting with the clown fish. any advice for someone who is just starting out?

2000gph-3000gph in powerheads
150g Skimmer
Couple of Reef Breeders Value LEDs fixtures
300w Heater
Refractometer
There are a ton of fish to chose from, what kinds do you like for instance?
Cardinalfish
Gobys
Orange-Back Fairy Wrasse
One Spot Foxface
Schooling fish would be Orange Line Chromis

You might want to rethink the clowns as your first fish. They can get rather territorial once established. Maybe get the clowns later so they dont take over the whole tank. Also if you are going to get into corals later I would set up the tank with the equipment you will want with corals rather than getting down the road and say "Gee, I wish I would have bought that skimmer the first time around." You will spend less money in the long run if you buy what you need for the end result rather than what you need for starting out.

i like all of them, i really want to get clown fish, coral beauty, tangs and angel fish, i know some of them get territorial so im looking for fish that can be housed together.

thank you, what would you suggest as a first fish for a beginner? thats my plan is to get everything as if i have a coral set up so then im not going back and spending more money in the future.

Your limited on the tangs to like a White Tail, Kole, Squaretail Bristletooth. Your also limited on your Angels to dwarf, and in a small tank you'd only be able to keep one.
They all can be housed together, it would all depend on when you added them. But you could also rearrange the tank to mess them up, and the territories would then change.
