Ok so I have repaired the hole in my plumbing but now my anti-siphon valve is broke:sad:. Do you think it will be ok to run until I can get to town and pick up another one? I mean really the only thing that could happen is if the power went out the overflow would lose its prime and not start up right? I have my return pump about 2" below the water line right now so if the power did go out and come back on it would only be able to pump up a little bit to the DT.

(I know there is probably a bunch of info needed to answer this/set my mind at ease, but I am hoping others with DIY pvc overflows will understand and be able to answer.) I would post up the illustration of the DIY overflow I made but I am not sure what regs R2R has about that sort of stuff.

Thanks for any help or peace of mind. (p.s. power outages are not a norm around here. pretty reliable BUT........

I drilled holes under the water line on the return line facing the back glass. I water tested mine with fresh water prior to moving it into the house. I'm glad I did because I forgot the holes and flooded the fuge.
