Starting an 8 gallon reef aquarium...

So for starters I have a 55 gallon aquarium I'm very inexperienced it has only been up for 7 months. I was thinking of starting an 8 gallon reef aquarium for a different part of the house. I'm thinking of getting 2 occelerios clownfish in there along with some easy to care for corals/ polys. Any thoughts on this?

People have done it but I think an 8G is a little small for two fish. I have a 12G with a single fish and I feel a little bad. lol Smaller tanks like that need to be monitored more closely bc the water volume is small. If you decide to do it I would recommend an ATO.

ATO -auto top off. It'll keep the salinity more stable by adding water whenever some evaporates.

Also I have Gotten mice answers in wether or not I could keep an anemone in with the corals what do you think?and do you recommend any corals ( I'm planning on adding mushroom coral as my first coral

I would wait for a few months before adding an anemone to any tank but I wouldn't put one in an 8G. Reefers might have had success with anemones in small tanks but I think they would do better in larger tanks.
Mushrooms are usually easy care and don't require a lot of light; good for a small tank.

What kind of lighting are you going to use?

I'm defently getting atleast t7 lighting but I'm seeing If I can afford better. Why?

Start your new corals on the sand bed to let them acclimate to the light. Move the corals that need more light to the top gradually. Mushrooms and most zoas can stay on the sand usually.

And are frogspawn coral top difficult to keep? Other the that I'll mostly stick to polyps and mushroom coral and maybe eventually something else...
