I have been battling a really bad turf algae problem for probably 2 years which was exacerbated by my loss of interest in the tank as I could not get rid of it. I decided that if I was going to keep this tank then the only option was to tear it apart completely and start again. The decision was not made easily as the display is a 450 gallon tank.
To date tank is now completely empty and my wife and I have been working on constructing the new aquascape which hopefully will go in this weekend.
