Starting hobby back up again... New reef salt.

Hey everyone! About to get back into the hobby again after about a year and half hiatus. Have a 32 gallon Biocube that I ripped the top off of, and am using an EverGrow IT2060 light. Also have a custom built 170 gallon tank that I bought, basically turnkey, but I'm just gonna be using the Biocube to get back in the rhythm of reefing for a while.

Anyway, when I was in the hobby before, I loved Red Sea Coral Pro salt, and that's all I would use. Now, I'm able to get Aquavitro Salinity for a lot cheaper, and it's been recommended to me before, and some people swear by it. I'm aware that all salts work, it just depends on the parameters you want, etc... But just wanted some feedback on what people thought in between the two salts.

Always exciting to get back in. I have not used either, but I have read both are good. Sounds like you have a handle on what you are looking from in a salt. I would factor in your planned coral type, your maintenance schedule, and dosing.

Brs has some good vids on salt, including a cost comparison between salts based on price and yield. It was interesting as far as results go.

My thought would be if your just getting started back up to go with basic IO or IO reef. If IO is out as a choice then personally I would stick with a brand i have used and have confidence in. Just as an added piece of mind during your jumping back in.
