I have a 90 gallon system with a Trigger 26 sump. My tank evaporates around 2 gallons every day to two days. I’m wanting to use Kalk since my ph is consistently around 7.9 I’d like to run 8.3. I have a few hammer corals and a Candy Cane. I’d like some pointers on how to run Kalk but keep levels at a stable 9 DKH, 450 Cal, 8.3 PH. Any pointers would be appreciated.

You will have to figure out how much alk and calcium yours consumes a day. I use a brs doser to dose saturated kalk for 5 hours in my tank. Which is roughly 450ml. Each tank will be different and consumption will change as corals grow. I started with running my ATO through kalk stirrer and it was way to much.

Do you know the daily alk demand?
No unfortunately I haven’t narrowed that down. This may be a dumb question but I’d like to use Kalk rather than a two part solution since I only have a few corals, and just want to ignite coralline growth.

Do you know the daily alk demand?
So I’ve used the reef calculator to try and hit 8.0 dkh but the recommended dose is not keeping up with demand. Each day it falls to 7.7, dosing 22 ml a day, what is the best way to pin down a good number.
