So I am getting into the Saltwater World. I would be breaking down my 20 gallon high freshwater tank and transforming it in to a saltwater tank. I would be selling some of my old stuff and replace with new things that I would need. So can anyone guide me in the right direction on what I will be need to get. What are some of the most important things that I would need for my Saltwater tanks from start to finish?

There are a lot of topics to cover. Best thing to do would be to go on YouTube and watch a bunch of saltwater tank 101 videos. Way easier to understand and absorb instead of paragraphs and paragraphs of info

I second the saltwater videos . Brs ( bulk reef supply ) and marine depot also has some good ones to get you started and help understand parts needed .

P.s. ask lots of questions . Some of the friendliest reef people you will find on the net are here on R2R.

Well like everyone else said watch some videos to understand easier, than have someone tell to use hydrometer or a refractor to have u come back ask what they are. But I think one thing u will want to do is think of what u want in the end do u want reef tank or fowler, do u want aggressive or or community tank, answering these questions save u money cause certain setups can call for equipment that might now be needed on anouther type of setup. So basically research a lot and come up with a idea of what u want and it will be easier to help u

Welcome to the R2R forum. Best advice is to read allot, ask allot of questions and be patient!
