So I finally got my Red Sea Reefer 250 yesterday after waiting almost a month from being backordered from Amazon, found it to be the cheapest online, I have to admit when I got the package I was really excited but held it in, until the delivery guys left and after inspection I found the packaging is great! Btw I suggest you have a buddy help you lift because the tank is heavy!!!. I was able to lift it but then again I work out. Anyways here's a picture of my progress so far after taking dog to the Vet, making time for the gf, and making dinner ...

Thanks yeah he's always checking out what I'm doing. Do you have any suggestion on a skimmer?

well i have only use the reef octopus. its my first skimmer ever. so i can talk about other brands. but i do like my skimmer. a lot of friends are using reef octupus too. and they love it.

it also depends on your budget.. people in here like vertex, but they are expensive.. bubble magus are like in the same level of price than Reef Oct. .. the Aquamaxx are pricey too.

Thanks for the response now I just need to figure out how to make this pump quiet as advertised

sure no problem Bong!

if the noise is because of the vibration. you could use this stuff, and place the pump on top of it.... they are for hot stuff in the kitchen haha but they work

haha cool, but no thanks it's from the suction of the pump

I was having issues with the noise and after asking forum for help and cleaning up my mess, I thought to read the manual, and of course the answer was there and it was just to open up the overflow valve

Just realized that Bulk Reef Supply didn't send me all my rocks... I'm gonna have to contact them and fix this

It's a little hard to tell from the pics, but it looks like your tank might not be level. Now would be the time to fix if you can.

Thanks did noticed it after I had filled it up, was gonna do this on the weekend where I had more time.

Just ordered the reef octopus classic 150, should be here Thursday and locline as well with split valve
