Starting new IM Fusion 20.

First pics of 2nd hand IM 20 that I picked up. Want to run to get going but gonna try to take it slow.

Trying to decide on extra flow in the tank. We have a 16g biocube with a Aqami KPS in it. Seems to work well with custom programming, open to suggestions!

Been here for a short while, 2nd tank so far! First was my sons Biocube. He just wanted fish, so I hijacked the aquas cape for corals!

what kind of livestock are you going to have ? if corals, what kind ?

Mostly LPS, but gonna try some SPS up high, I know it’s a small tank and stability is an issue, but I really want to succeed at growth on a small scale . Maybe go to a really big tank in the future and seed the southwest coast Florida, our Red Tide has killed everything here and thoughts are to try to help reestablish the reefs here. I really don’t want my grandkids to see my tank and say that was once in the ocean!

Congratulations on your new reef tank. I've had my nuvo 20 running a few years. Great tanks. I've just recently sold a lot of corals and went sps dominate. Small tank stability isn't too hard once they mature a bit.

Trying a newer product from Seachem! Working with wet rocks it a little difficult but we will follow progression. Seachem Bond!

Just about finished setting up the new tank. Waiting for initial cycle to finish! Replaced stock pump with this IM Mighty Jet, 538 GPH! Breaking it in at half speed. Ordered 2 Random flow generators from BRS, can’t wait to get those. Gonna try to not run an wave generator. We’ll see how that goes. Ammonia is dropping and Nitrate and Nitrite is climbing as well.

Quick update. Tank is under way.....Diatom time. Really hate this phase. Most Inhabitants seem fine with it, just not me.

Diatoms are backing off, trying to decide if I add a IceCap 1k or Aqamai kps, I like the RFG but I feel the tank as a whole does not get enough flow. Rounding out the equipment portion of the build.

This is quite fun but a little hard on the wallet!

Tank is going through the uglies right now but I know there is an end to that! Got a couple of Acros from local guy, Jeremy at Gator Corals.
