My only issue now is debating if I maintain to be bare bottom or put on sand. I am still undecided on that part. Aesthetically I prefer with sand but vacuuming bare bottom of detritus is a no brainer. Hhhhhhmmmm dilema. Suggestion?

You can easily start with a sanded and establish the system, then slowly suck the sand out with water changes. I've done something similar and I still have some sand, but about half of what I did. That was is much easier 5hab going bare bottom from the start.

Full transition is done after 3 weeks of soaking the rocks….
The rocks for sure will undergo the ugly phase so have to watch it carefully

So far parameters have been steady. Checked for 4 straight days and just a slight slide up.

Alk 9.5
Mag 1500
Nitrate 11.5
Po4 0.03

Keep that Nitrate up and monitor it and you'll get rid of a lot of those Dinoflagelates that you still have on your frags.

I chased that I my new system and tried everything I had read about no lighting for 5 days, etc. None of it worked. When I started dosing Nitrate and kept it monitored and steady 10 to 15 dinoflagelates started disappearing.

I have upped my daily dose of nitrates to 25ml to increase it by .3ppm daily and turn it back to 20ml once it reaches 15ppm. Can’t wait for these frags to be mini colonies.
Replacing the mp40 also on the works to prepare for more flow once corals mature a bit
