Starting Saltwater!

Hello, I have just started into Saltwater and I am planning to set up a 180 Gallon SW tank. I have been researching the basic stuff and tons of fish! I do have a 29 Gallon FW tank with an ABF.
Now for some questions:

1. Reef or FOWLR? Should I do a Reef and not let this 180 go to waste or a FOWLR?
2. Suggest some fish for me!
3. Can you please inform me on Reef if you suggest it for me.
4. Please share all the info you can. :)

I really want a Walking Batfish (I know weird!) but I find them really cool!
Thank you! I look forward to being here!
WELCOME. WE HAVE CAKE!

That itch for coral will find you soon enough, I promise!

Welcome!

Wow, a blank canvas!

All I can say is that I get used to my fish (and new fish) pretty quickly. I still like them, but the novelty wears off. Noticing a new polyp or head on a coral, or seeing that it's basing out over its frag plug... that hasn't gotten old yet.

Start Fowler and it will determine your eagerness to take the next step and allow you to budget and save for next needed components as you add the concept of reef to the equation.
Go slow and never be discouraged by loss of livestock, algae, chemistry swings as it happens to the Best of us

Welcome to R2R! ;) For what its worth my opinion is always going to be reef. There is soooo much diversity you are missing out on with a fish only. That being said there are a lot of awesome fish that you cannot have with certain corals. I would love to have certain angels and butterfly fish that I cannot because of the corals I keep. I guess you should hunt around for fish you like on live aquaria and Fishy business and create a list of what you really have to have. If most of the fish you want are not reef safe, well then I guess you go fish only.
