hey.. so i have just ordered the intank media baskets ~>BioCube 29 Package Deal - Aquarium Filtration Upgrades & Supplies and this set of lights~>JBJ Nano-Glo i wanted to set it up for chaeto..i was wondering if i need to put it in when i start cycling the tank or wait till its finished cycling..also how long should i set the light to be on for the chaeto..thank you!! almost ready to start woo hoo!

One of the systems i have is the BC 29 HQI and I also have the JBJ nano-glo 4 led lights on mine. I ran my chaeto after the tank cycled so the bacteria had a chance to populate the system. The algae can and will pull out a good majority of the nitrates and what not so I let it cycle then put it in the back on a 24/7 365 days a year light cycle it will help a lot in stabilizing your PH so you do not have the swings in ph when the display lights go off since your refugium lights are on. I do know people that have put chaeto in from the get go and had no negative results though its really up to you on how you would like to start your system.

Yep, I have the intank media basket and there fuge for the biocube 29. It is great! But you should wait till after the tank has cycled before you put in the chaeto

From what Ive seen most people use a light schedule opposite of what their main tank is

This is one of the ways to run the light cycle. I run mine all the time so it is constantly pulling out nutrients and producing oxygen and food.
