Hello R2R, I recently got the go ahead from the boss that I can setup a basement sump/frag system in one of the spare rooms. I am looking for advice on anyone that's done this before. Here is my current idea:

VFffvlg.jpg

I plan on using spaflex hose for the return and the drain. and I am looking at using this panworld pump http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/pan-world-50px.html to return to the display. I assume 16ft head pressure would be more than enough, I don't think the distance from the tank to the display is more than 12ft (vertical).

The sump and the frag tanks will be using large rubbermaid tubs. 100 gallons for the fuge, and the shallow 50 gallons for the frag tanks. I am planning on adding bulkheads to the tanks and using a cascading method to feed each tank, would this be the best option, or would I be better off having straight through links between all the tanks? The last tank in the system before the return pump I am planning on sectioning off to create a place for ATO float valves.

Anyone have any input on my design, comments or concerns?

that's max head height...
so it won't run any water out at 15 ft......
fig for a ruff guess...
if you want say 500gph at a 12ft height look for something like 100gph with a 24ft max head
ball park any way..
