So my acros have been looking rather dull lately. They're growing like weeds and have great polyp extension, but just don't have the colour. Anyway I was taking a trip to my LFS to pick up some flatworm eXit, after noticing a few pests on my golden torch, and some of the euphyllias around it. I saw a wolverine colony there, and it just completely outshined mine. I know my tank is healthy, and the acros show it, so I asked what the reason could possibly be. The owner told me that my corals are probably being malnourished, and need nutrients, so he recommended me Acropower.

Anyway I'm going to start dosing, hope my acros show some colour!
If you have past and/or current experience with this product please share, would love to know just what to expect :)

I acually had great results with it, and like they say, you see changes in just a couple of days!! But if your like me (witch you prob are) and stair at your tank everyday, you dont really see a change lolol. Yea but as with anything wether its iodine or aminos, start at a very low ml and gradually work your way up. Ive seen alot of threads on dinos, cyano, and some brown stuff comming from acropower.

True don't over do it!

My zoas lps nems and bears ohmy!! Took on awesome color after dosing for a while. For me the only bad that came from dosing was p04 levels rose and when id clean the algae from the glass, instead of being dusty green it was stringy white/brown

Great to know all of this :D
How do other corals react to this? I know LPS' love it but do mushrooms react well? And mushrooms? At the store I scored a sweet deal on 3 jawbreakers for $40 and want to get the best colours out of them :) They always get high end corals and sell them cheap because they think the prices are unreasonable (got my wolverine colony there for $80)

I started more than One month ago on my 80 gal. Of sps with Acropower.

It's best AA that I've used.

Polyps expansion and growth evidence

I'm very Happy.....and I can add that I used more and more AA brand in The past.

acropower number one

I believe it's helped my color, but not growth or PE. Technically it isn't food, so be sure to feed coral food as well if you're having issues.

I've been using it for several months and my SPS are still declining. I'm not blaming Acropower; there's obviously something else I'm not doing right and it simply isn't the fix I was hoping for.

I add the Acropower to my tank first, gets the corals to open up, and then feed them so they get the most out of the food. I do have to clean my glass more often when using but I think that's the case with any organic additive. JME

I really beleive in this stuff. Just watch out to no overdose. I put 1/2 of the requirement twice a week 1hr after my light go out and u will get crazy polyop extensions. I say get a flashlight and check out you tank 1 hour after lights go out. Than pic another night and add when you lights go off. Wait about a hour and flash you flashlight in you tank and u will be amazed.

I've been wanting to get in on this and ended up ordering a bottle.... figured i'd ask in this thread if anyone knew if it matters leaving your skimmer on while using this?
