Steady calcium levels but rising alk

I dose with added kalkwasser to my ato and its been working fine for awhile now but I've noticed while calcium stays consistent at 425 while my alk is slowly climbing from 8.5 where i like to keep it to 9.2 in just 3-4 days. I always thought these two were taken up in a 1:1 ratio?

Simple overdose. Dose it to maintain alk. The calcium rise from that alk rise will be only 5 ppm, which no kit will reliably detect.
