I’ve never had an issue with ph lower than 8.0. As you can see on the attached picture, it is steady getting lower everyday and is now 7.7. This has been confirmed with api and hanna tests aswell. There are no more people in my house than normal, just 2. My alk is steady at 9.2-9.3. I dose all for reef and amino acids, nothing else and no changes to either recently. I am not sure what could be going on but I have some very expensive acros.

Co2 in the house from people or combusted gas leak. Or bacterial action from the products your adding.

Okay, I can see you're using a seneye.

They are normally quite accurate and you have correlated with other tests.

I'd suggest doing an aeration test.

I agree test your ph from a cup of tank water bubbled outside for an hour

Okay I did an aeration test. Ph went from 7.7 to 8.0 in 1 hour using inside air. I guess this means if I aerate the water it should go up? How much aeration is needed, I have 250 gallons of water? I just have a normal aeration pump In there, we shall see if it does anything.

Just with inside air not outside air? Well that would suggest poor aeration and lots of biological co2 production taking place in the tank. Do you have a protein skinmer?

I do not have or plan on running a skimmer. I put an airstone in there and so far no real change. Not sure how long it takes. Also my ph has been 8.0 to 8.1 for a year until now. I have not added anything new to the tank. I do have 2 mp40s running at 100% right at the surface, not sure if that counts as aeration.

yes inside air, it is 100 degrees outside which would probably give bad results.

Actually temperature wouldnt do much besides increase evaporation. Just use a little more tank water. I bet your ph goes to 8.2 or more.outside.

Given that yiu do not wish to run a skimmer, I'd suggest improving gas exchange by aiming powerheads upwards to churn the water surface.

It won't.

Outside CO2 is running about 500ppm in our area. Might be a bit higher depending on where you are in the city. Your house is likely MUCH higher.

EDIT: I am watching my meter at 89 and the outside air is as stated about 500ppm. The areation test is an old method to test for CO2. Meters have come along they are cheap and they provide accurate enough results.
