Steel stand larger than tank

Hi all, wondering everyone’s thoughts about this in the picture. Back of tank will be short of steel frame length by 80/120mm. 40mm box steel 3mm thick. At a minimum I’d use 20mm 3/4” plywood as a base but that’s a long unsupported span?!

I wouldn't. I would want all 4 sides of the tank supported by the stand.

All four corners of aquriam/glass should be supported via stand and adjust thickness of stand top to support weight/volume of water, you can adjust size of stand easily' but if you don't support weight correctly of aquriam/glass filled with water this will cause weakness in aquriam/glass that will crack due to pressure

I'm assuming the plywood will be the full 620mm? Even then, the 120mm overhang seems like a far bit for a tank that size. Can you add a third top rail under the tank edge? What's the need for the wider stand?

I have the larger stand (I could trim down) and found the tank in the size I wanted and was trying to make it work. Have decided to have a stand purpose built and sell what I’ve got complete. Thanks for everyone’s input, I appreciate it!
