I went through the side of the stand with sump and ran lines underneath

But the steel stand doesn’t have any platform . How did you build yours for your sump to sit on etc
4x8” sheet in the bottom and cut out where the legs for stand is

Just your regular type of wood from Home Depot? Any support for that sheet or just lay right in there

I got waterproof particle board

I sealed a piece of plywood with varathane and dropped it in. 40 breeder sits on top.

Did you cut around the stand legs for the board
No the plywood rests on 2x4's placed between the stand.
A bead of black caulking compound is ran around the perimeter of the plywood adhearing it to the stand.
This keeps water from getting underneath the stand. Very simple.
Here is a pic of the stand before I coated it so you can see what I mean.
2x4' were laid flat and the I used a 1/2" piece of plywood.
Steel is 2x2 except fot the top which is 3x2.

Yes I dont have a pic of it.
Just lay them down and place the plywood on top.
You can screw the plywood down bit I did not.
One piece on each end and one in the middle.
