Steel stands? Whos got one?

Hi everyone,

I'll be starting a new build here soon with a 48x24x24 120gal tank.
I really want to maximize space underneath as well as have magnetic covers for the skin.

I've got a few questions-
1) what gauge steel should i use? I'm planning on using square tube.

2) powdercoated or painted and why? Also what finish is more durable?

3) can i get away with no support mid tank on this 4' span?

4) please post pics of your stand/setup and any advice/design elements you wish you would have incorporated would be awesome!

I still have the old steel stand for my 75. I can't say how many times I have wire brushed & painted the thing. I still like it for all the room it allows.
