sterilize qt media

I've got a large about of Seachem Matrix in my QT right now. How do I go about sterilizing it or should I Just toss it? I've probably got around 10-20$ worth of the material in the tank right now so I would prefer to reuse it if possible

Have you used copper in your qt? if so just bin it.
Why are you using matrix in a qt?

i'm not tto concerned aboutt the copper. What I want to make sure of is tthat if I bleach the matrix down, I can remove the bleach by letting it bake in the sun for a few days.

I used matrix in the qt because I was running into ammonia problems. I was hoping that it would solve that issue.
