Hey guys I'm having trouble getting this new salt I'm using to dissolve all the way without leaving undissolved particles on the bottom of my mixing bucket so I'm gonna use a heater and a pump to try to hurry it a little since it's taken a while... The heater has been on my balcony for the past couple weeks from when I broke a tank down and I need to sterilize a pump as well. I have some bleach and some 50% hydrogen peroxide and would rather use the peroxide...how much should I dilute it and how long should I let them soak for before removing it from the bucket I'm going to fill and put them in?

What are you worried about on the pump & heater? If it's been dry 3 weeks most things of concern should be dead.

Bleach is better for sanitization. Soak in 1:10 bleach/water solution for 20 min or more, then rinse and dry. After it dries you can add to a tank but make sure everything is completely dry. The inside of a pump can stay wet awhile.

Alternatively to drying you can use sodium theosulphate or similar to deactivate the bleach.

Well the heater is on my dirty balcony where I pour my old water when I do water changes and even though I don't think I have anything to worry about in the tank pathogen or parasite wise, it's for my mixing bucket which I use for multiple tanks so if anything did get in there my other tanks would be infected as well (just an extra precaution)
