Sterilizing procedure

I see a lot of people here talking about “sterilizing” their QT tanks between uses, especially if there was a problem.

Can you tell me what you do to accomplish this? I am just a little worried about leaving chemical residues from anything I use for the cleaning...

Clean algae out with vinegar. Wipe down everything with a bleach water mix. Rinse well with clear water. Dry well in the sun if able to. Done

I rinse, use a little beach, rinse it well. Then air dry for 2 days

34% h202 is effective as bleach. I use it to clean my filter socks. After blowing off all detrius with a high pressure hose nozzle I soak in 1 gal tap water with about a 1/4 cup of h202 overnight. Wring out and let dry done.
Not a fan of bleach anywhere near my tanks.
It would work well for what you need imo.
