Steve’s LEDs and Coral Lab

I am considering upgrading the lighting on my new Biocube LED 32 with Steve’s LEDs. I’m wondering...can you program a schedule with specific levels like the Radion? I’m real pleased with the AB+ Coral Lab setting on my Radion and would like to duplicate it with my Steve’s, should I get them.

The short answer is yes, but not in the stock configuration. Steve's controller they use is preconfigured to use 4 channels as the Radion uses 7 channels. Now you can contact Steve"s and upgrade both the controller (its capable of 16 channels) have the same led's installed and by trial and error I am sure you could come up with something you like.

I looked at those. With Steve's you can get the bluefish as well but im assuming that you have to have different LEDs too though to implement a similar schedule. So that leads me to ask... Whats the benefit of the bluefish?

I’m really not sure the differences between what Steve uses and the bluefish.. I’m assuming it’s not as good because he charges a substantial amount to upgrade to the bluefish. Mine is a older model but it does everything you could imagine including so many options I would never use like weather/cloud simulation, storm simulation with thunder and lightning via Bluetooth speakers and it will duplicate current weather conditions and light duration anywhere in the world.

Pretty sure he offers the hurricane X for standard that's what I opted for heard mixed reviews on the bluefish. I like the hurricane X its straight forward haven't had any issues.

Not familiar with the hurricane X but sometimes less is best.. not sure about Steves but the nanobox is super easy to install and so far mine has been running over two years without any issues. Here is a picture of mine installed in a Biocube 14 and pic of tank which has been pretty much been growing out of control since I installed the lights
