Stevie's 2.5 gallon experiment! Just for fun..maybe

I could not help myself this very fine Sunday but to make a little project out of the spare stuff I had stored messy away in the basement.
Live stock:
Sand
Rock
Orange zoas
2 pieces of SPS ( just for the picture ) I'm not the crazy..... Yet!!!!
Parts list:
2.5gallon nano
10 gallon w/stand
A chess board LOL
20 of 1/4"air line
A emperor500 power head
1' of 3/4 hose
6" of 1/2" hose
10 gallons of water from my 75 gallon water change
A small piece of live rock
About maybe 2lbs of live sand from my reef
A patient wife
A beer or two give or take
3hrs

HAHAHA!!! I know thats the way I feel right now!!! Well aside from night from my observation this morning everything is looking remarkably great the acros are still alive and the zoas are now opened up to the morning ambient light in the room.

On a side note people how may have read this thread initially may have got the impression that this was not a serious build for me but in the end it was very satisfiing and im going to continue to try making this mini reef explode. I feel like some kind of mad scientist embarking on a un parallel journey. Please everyone wish my llittle acros good luck because they are going to have to thrive with me enveloping there mini biosphere with attention love and great care!!!

Good morning!!!! Well I'm pleasantly surprised that the acro are doing fine and I also added a birdsnest to the bunch yesterday. During the day hours I supplement the light source with a duel bulb current fixture so the corals have enough light for growth and color, though my zoas looked tired out at the end of eight hours. That being said I'm going to elevate the light a little higher.

Does anyone have suggestions for what critters I can put in that will do ok in this small tank?

Ok redo, unfortunately one of the syphone tubes from this setup missplaced themselves and the floor was the unfortunate victim of my maddness,,all coral was saved,,,,, but anyways there will always be life after death and this time the system is close looped so there will be no syphon tubes just the 2.5 gallon setup and it's righteous technological glory. I changed the aquascape and no more sand soon after cycle the only organisms will be softies. I really like the idea of reef preservation and I would like too either ,,,,A,,,, put the tank where it will only get natural light or ,,,,,b,,,,,LED pendant. Any suggestions. I've seen people put a bunch of softies in a vase and put it in natural sun light.... I don't know what types but if someone could tell me I would like to know so I can do something similar only with a heatsource and flow...
