Sticky white thing between torch head and rock?

I swapped the placement of two of my torches this morning and the Aussie gold, which is just a head not glued to any rock, was stuck to the rock below it by something like white and kinda mucous like? It's hard to describe. I didnt realize that until I had lifted it up.

What is that? Is it part of the coral? Did I hurt it by moving it?

And no it's not glue lol. The title totally sounds like glue but it's something organic from within the tank. Not sure if good or bad.
