This is my 75 gallon with what i believe is a 23 gallon long homemade sump. Equipment is a 54x6 t5 light. We have a lot of live rock, not sure of the weight because we bought about 180 pounds. We of course didn't put all the rock in. Running 2 200 watt eheim Jager heaters. 1 in tank and 1 in the sump. Sump now has a super reef octopus xp1000sss skimmer. Middle section is my attempt at a refugium. It consists of live sand, live rock, and chaeto. I have started pods in sump, and the live rock of course had pods somewhat already established. Fish consists of pair of clowns, a yellow tang, and green mandrian. Other live stock includes a sea cucumber, feather duster, and sand sifting star, and a brittle star. As far as coral goes I really have no idea what the actual names are. There is probably 5 different types of coral. We are currently making plans to setup the 150 and then maybe use the 75 as fowlr.

Nice livestock, the coral are xenias, some palythoas, and some others I can't identify yet. I recommend not having so much rock lol. That's so much! Especially if you wanna have coral in the future I know your going to a 150 but keep in mind you don't want to much rock and make islands that's what a lot of people do and those who don't tend to regret it when they want to catch fish or drop coral

Yeah I been wanting to thin it out a little. I dropped a plug with the blue looking mushroom and it was pretty hard to dig it out.

The best advice I've gotten as far as rock building is to make tripods. That is, put down three rocks about the same height and now put a larger forth piece on top to connect the three legs. This gives you great caves for the fish to swim and hide.

Why not both heaters in the sump? Keep the DT looking pretty and uncluttered.

I had 1 heater in dt because I I had to build my sump. I just haven't taken it out of tank and put in sump yet. It's definitely going in there though.
