I've been running LED's for five years. Two years with DIY fixtures and now three years with some Custom colored Evergrows from my LFS. Last summer I rebuilt all the blue channels on the four black boxes over my display for less than $40 and recently I rebuilt my stunner strips with some left over parts to change the color spectrum on them. I find them far better than the old trio of 400watt 20K Radiums I used to replace every 6-9 months and far more controllable with my Neptune Apex. Anyhow, here are a few pictures to once again prove, you can grow SPS with LED's. :)

Lots of coralline on the back wall, looks awesome!
Thanks. I could never grow it until a few years ago. The coraline on the overflows is about a 1/4 inch thick now days. It gets thick and falls off the glass in sheets

Awesome Man! Is that a "Rouge Milli"? I believe it's the fourth pic on your 2nd set of pics.

Another good success!
Thank you for sharing :)

Its one that I've always known as Red prostrata. Its under the cross brace in my display and morphing into this green polyped monster. In my grow out tank its bright red with zero green at all.

Let me know if you ever want to frag:)

I have a 35 and 90 grow out tank and supply one of my LFS with pieces monthly. Both grow tanks are lit with the same fixture as the display supplying me with over 600 mini colonies last year alone. I made up 50 more frags last Saturday readying the next generation of Aquacultered corals. I need to make around 50 more this next weekend. I always frag. I just don't touch the display tank unless I have to. However, I did reaquascape the last two years in a row to make room for my three giant tangs. The FTS is four months in.

Beautiful!
Is there a thread somewhere showing changes you made to lights?
No, but its not too late. I just modded a reef radiance light by rebuilding the whole royal blue channel and then reconfigured the whit channel to have fewer 4500K emitters and added a few baby blue so I can run both channels at 75% and get great SPS growth at up to 30" deep. I still have to rebuild a second one to match and can take some before and after pictures of each.

Should edit the original post with:

Lol fantastic looking tank though. What did you do to customize the layout, just out of curiosity? I don't frequent this forum quite as often. How many units do you use and what's your tank footprint. What intensities do you run your channels at?
