So this green slimer has slowly been going downhill for the past two months. And curious if there is still a chance of it surviving. I just started dosing coral amino from Brightwell this week as well.

Issue #1
It started when I only had one AI 16 to light my nuvo20 and it was set way to low. I purchased another light and have raised them both. All sps are now in 250-350ish par.

Issue #2
Alk from the beginning of my tank was 11ish. I figured out that I wasn’t mixing my salt and it had settled causing weird numbers. I have since (month or so) starting turning over my salt before mixing and NSW is 8.1 alk and am slowly working on lowering it (currently at 9.7).

Issue #3
I never really worried about nutrients as I thought I would be good with my 2x weekly dosing of reefroids (heard it has an abundance of nitrate and phosphate). But come to find out I had 0 phos and nitrate. I started dosing reefroids daily and that raised my phos to .02 - .05 and nitrates to 1ppm.

I have a birdsnest that’s doing okay and a monti spongodes that is starting to regain its color from previous issues.

Tank parameters
Alk 9.7
Calc 480
Mag 1350
pH 8.1
Nitrate 1 (yesterday’s test)
Phos .02 (yesterday’s test)
2 AI 16hds
2 Jebao sow4

Any hope for this frag to recover?

Yes there is slight algae on sand bed and the hermits and clowns love to pick at it.

Thanks!

Yeah nutrients are on the watch list. Nitrate every other day and phosphate once a week now. Seems to be keeping right around the numbers I posted unless I stop doing reefroids daily and then they will drop to 0 in about two days. I’m assuming they will creep up sometime once rocks etc absorb some more i’m thinking. Only filtration is rock in tank/AIO area and filter floss.

IMO probably will not recover, but other members here , and I would gladly give you a frag of stag/slimer. I literally have to chip it back from killing corals around it because it is so aggressive. I think it may be that the frag was too small and went through too much.

Still has polyps (and they're out!) which is a great sign - but it has a hard road ahead.

The one comment I'd make is that falling in the sand is brutal on acros in my experience - so I'd want it better secured than it currently is.

Thanks! Yeah polyps are out but not as much as before. I tried moving it to see if flow was part of the issue and I don’t believe it was so I have already remounted it onto my rock work. I am trying my best to lowering alk and keep nutrients up and hopefully it will recover.
