Couldn’t figure out why my bta nems are completely closed up. I found a stink bug floating in the water this morning. If you have ever had dealings with stink bugs you know they are toxic. Everything else seems happy just not the anemones. Mixing water now for water change. Thanks to our government for bringing in stink bugs to deal with “our” lady bug issues.

They are not predators of bugs they are an agraculture pest. They suck the juices out of the stems of the plants.
I would also add carbon.

I've seen alot of them this past 2 weeks here in des moines iowa. But luckily non in my house.
You will be seeing a lot of them. They are starting to look for a place to hibernate.

More noxious than toxic. My goldfish eat them regularly when they end up in my pond. Only insect i have ever worried about is dragonflies and damselflies. And only with my freshwater systems.

They are in PA right now in full force. I had a few end up in my display and sump in the spring. I got them out quickly.

When we lived it Virginia, these would come out by the thousands. Found numerous ones floating the my tanks. They would get into everything. Sometimes you could turn on the car heater and it would emit a nauseating odor because they would get in the vents.
Now I deal with love bugs ;Yuck

Stink bugs are not that bad imo. I've had them floating in several tanks. We have kudzu bugs here and when a fish grabs one it lets out a green puff of chemicals you can see in the water.

Hmmmm...pull these guys out all the time...have never seen any ill effect in either tanks.
