Hello reefers,
About a month ago I was placed with STM on my Montis, possibly from the move from my 50 gallon 8 year old tank to my new Red Sea Reefer 525xl. I had to frag the healthy pieces off and they were doing fairly well after a melafix and iodine soak. Now they seem to be almost loosing color, not rapidly but still not coming back as fast as they've done before in my old tank. I left them in high flow and the bottom sand of my tank. I wish I could post pics but I have not met the requirements to allow myself to post pictures up. Any tips from you monnti/LPS lovers out there? it was doing great before the move, I believe it was just the new water chemistry and also the dosing I was doing with my alkalinity. So far I have a little diatom bloom, nothing to crazy for a new tank, two AI Hydra 26HD lights, Red Sea skimmer 600, reef wave 45, and mp10 on backside giving the other side flow.
