I came to work only to see this. One of my nicest pieces is STN in the middle. Do you guys have any idea what it could be?
Salinity: 35
Alk: 8.6
Calcium: 440
Nitrates: 10

What is your phosphate level? Temp? Any parameter swings? Light? Flow? Age of tank? Did you dip the coral? What did you dip it in? How long have you had the frag?

Just checked and my tank temp is at 82. Usually sits around 78. Using one gyre at 100% pulse. Light is XR15 g4 slowly ramping to 100%. All my other acro frags are doing and growing.
It’s been in my tank for 3 weeks and was doing great with polyp extension.
Note: Purchased the frag from Vivid aquarium where they run the XR30’s at 100% (400-500 par)
Checking phosphate right now and doing a water change.
Is it a goner?

Don’t know whether this was a good idea or not.

82 from 78 is a big change. Any parameters changing like that will stress the SPS

Just checked my phosphates and it’s at .13
Don’t know if that’s enough for it to STN.

It’s a goner. I’ve seen this many times. Parameters are always spot on and no swings. It’s a mystery. I’d probably put it in the temp swing if it happened overnight.
