Hello, I suspect STN on my Bali green slimer. Is there a way to treat it? It has turned brown and minimal polyp extension.
Parameters:
NO3:35
PO4:0.17
Alk:11.8
Calcium:1500+
Magnesium:1500+
Ammonia:0
Nitrite:0

Calcium of 1500+? This must be a mistake.

This looks to be a fresh cut in a system with elevated parameters.

If I had to guess - it’s likely stressed out due to the big change in the environment and trying to acclimate itself to the new parameters. Browning acros is a typical reaction and they should color back up once it’s fully acclimated.

When I acclimate new Acroporas I first place them under lower light and 1-2 weeks later I slowly introduce them to higher lighting, this helps preventing a light shock.

Green slimmer also likes a strong flow - make sure to supply it.

I use reef crystals. I also accidentally posted this thread two times, I may have to delete it.
