Hey guys I wanted to share an experience I recently had and see if anyone else has had anything similar. This is not an indictment of brs or their ROX product. Just 1 persons experience.
I had a pretty successful reef tank going. It was a few years old. I began running ROX carbon from brs. I slowly worked up to the recommended dose. Everything seemed good. Then my SpS began to rtn from the base up with polyps out. I tried everything to remedy it. I ripped pumps apart looking for rust. Replaced heaters. Etc etc. finally I turned to R2R. Someone mentioned that they had similar results when they started using ROX carbon. So I tried removing it. The problem gradually fixed itself. Now, I wish I had just left it off but I wanted to make sure that was the culprit. So a few months later back in the carbon went and the stn began again. Anyone else have similar results?
