Hey guys, randy

I have been using carbon dosing (nopox) on my reef for about 2 years now. About 6-7 months ago a had some aefw hit afew sps colonys (tank is sps heavy) manage to dip them with coral rx few times over a month period and havent seen them since but ever since dipping i have had no growth, pe is reducing over time and colonys are stn from base up! The water params are a inline with nsw other than higher no3 amd po4 but have always run higher than 0 on both with no issues and crazy growth/ colour. The more research i di the more im leaning towards bad bacteria pathogens in the zooanthelea itself causing the issue and carbon dosing driving this and corals not having a chance? Does anyone know anything info on how too beat bad bacteria pathogens or have any advice inbetween do nothing and reboot?

I have turned off nopox for 3 weeks but cannot keep up with nitrate and phosphate removal even with large water changes due to alot of fish load. i did not see any improvement but its a short period really, i have 2 other tanks running of the one sump and sps is doing fine in those tanks but still no growth. i have sent off a triton test just to be re-assured no heavy metals in system aswell
