I have a single big colony that’s been slowly losing tissue all of a sudden and isn’t looking too great. Wondering if i should just take it out of the tank. Would leaving it in the tank affect other sps? Every other sps seems to be doing fine at the moment.

First thing show a picture so we can have eyes on to see if we can spit the problem.
Second is check it for pest by dipping the whole colony.
Third is any changes to your tank as parameters

A pic would be good..
I would chop a frag off the top healthy part, and leave the rest of it alone for now. Inspect at night for any foul play.

Have you had this colony for a while or grew it from a frag? Was it bought as a large colony? Larger sps need lots of flow and the lower and center parts will also naturally die off from lack of light and well flow due to the dense growth and structure of large colonies of sps. Frag it for sure. Its pretty common practice to trim out older dead coral.

Yes pull it out immediately. RTN in my experience can be contagious but not always. Remove it ASAP.
Dip it to check for pests.

Thanks guys, checked it when i got home yesterday and it went from stn to skeleton. Had this colony for 3 years from a 2” frag to a dense sofball.

you might want to check for pest.. red bugs.. aefw.. if it's bugs... n the colony is gone they might have jump ship.. gl! keep an eye out on the rest of ur corals.
