I need help stocking my 150 gal reef tank. Everything has to be reef safe right now I have a clownfish
yellow corris wrasse
3stripe damsel
Green clown goby
Yellow head jawfish
And a small cowfish

Just curious why? He's the most timid fish out of all so far and I got him first.

hes relaxed now cuz hes young but as he grows he will become aggressive and territorial.
unless he has tank mates that can handle themselves hes going to become a pain and that 3 dollar fish could cost you hundreds of dollars of fish down the road.
and trying to get it out after you've added corals...you will hate life!
this hobby is about prevention not cure lol

Ok sounds good. Everything is in a 30 gal now I just setup my 150 so i just won't put him into the new tank

You should also watch out for the yellow coris wrasse if you have or want to have feather dusters!!! They look them, at least mine does.

I take it he's only a little guy??? Mine was fine, than he grew from 1/2" to 6", that's when he started nipping on them and stressing them out, some actually shed their crown, nothing major! A week or two and they grow back

Hmm idk about that one probably depends on the specimen I have a few dusters in mine and he has never looked at them twice, they are pretty big though

All of the fish you listed stay fairly small, so that should give you a lot of room to add to what you already have.

A little mots information would be helpful in making suggestions. What type of filtration are you running on the 150? What type of corals were you planning on keeping? Are you wanting mostly small fish, or a mix of sizes and activity levels? Are there fish that are on your wish list that you just must have?

IF YOU HAD TO TAKE A REEFING EXAM, WOULD YOU PASS?
