I have recently set up a 120 gallon aquarium and it is completely cycled and I added 2 Ocellaris clowns that I have had in another tank of mine for about a year. I have 80 lbs of rock that was dry when I added it. I have an idea about what I want to stock the tank with but I really want to make sure before I do it that it's a good stock list and that everything will be happy in there because I don't plan to upgrade again for a long time. Thank you in advance! Also I do have a QT tank set up and plan on quarantining all new fish I purchase so adding them will be slow over the course of the year. If you have advice on the order I should add fish that would be great too! [emoji4]

Fish wish list:

2 Ocellaris clowns (already in the tank)
2 Frostbite clowns (I'm aware of potentially aggression issues and have a tank for back up if that's necessary)
1 Foxface
1 Kole Tang
1 Hippo Tang
1 Porcupine Puffer (I need opinions mainly on this fish because I really want one but I need to know if he will eat my other fish or outgrow my tank)
1 mandarin goby (In a few years)

Not sure about the clownfish compatibility, but the Hippo Tang and Porcupine Puffer could potentially get too big for a 120. If you get them small it will be several years before they are full grown, but they can both get up to 1 foot. The Kole and Foxface are fine though. Good choice in waiting on the Mandarin. I really want one in my tank as well and I am doing the recommended thing by waiting as well, although I will probably only wait about 6-8 months for mine.

As far as the order, as long as you add the Tangs last and at the same time you should be fine.

120 might still not be enough space for 2 pairs of clowns.

Once they start spawning whatever tolerance they displayed before could quickly disappear.

Thanks for the advice! I may still get the big fish and just rehome them when I feel like they need more space. I definitely don't want to be inhumane. The clowns I have a separate tank for as a back up in case it does not work out so I may try that too but I definitely have a back up plan. Mandarins are my absolute favorite I'm just terrified for them not having enough pods so I'm going to dose and hopefully be good in a year or two maybe less if i see an abundance [emoji16]

Thank you for replying! I do have another tank set up in case they do act aggressively so I may try it out and remove them at the first sign of aggression.
