Just looking for suggestions. I'm already limited by the tank size so I want to see what everyone else would suggest. I am 100% getting a tailspot blenny but other than that I have no idea. My original plan was to get a Pygmy Wrasse of some type to control the pod population but I love my Stomatella snails (I know some find them to be a pest but I actually stocked them) to much and am scared the Wrasse might starting picking them off as well. Any insight on the relationship between Pygmy Wrasse and Stomatella?

Not that big of a fan of shrimp/goby combos, would rather have something that swims in the upper portions. What would you suggest? Right now there is nothing but snails and coral in the tank. To small for a pair of Banggai?

Bump, and thanks. I've looked at the firefish, on the list just not my first choice at the moment.

Mainly curious to know if anyone has any experience with wrasse, specifically pygrmy wrasse, and Stomatella snails.

A Possum Wrasse should do well as long as there is enough rockwork and you do have a large enough pod population. I have had a W. nigropinnata for almost two years now. I never noticed any stomatella snails in the tank it is in, so I can't confirm either way. However I would be surprised if it did go after them.

I might try it and see as far as the wrasse/snail interaction, guess thats the best way and I can always get more snails if I wanted to. My pod population seems to be out of control at the moment, part of the reason I was looking at the pygmy wrasse. Thanks!
