Hi I am starting a new 20 gallon long tank and I just wanted some ideas on stocking (fish wise) all I know is that I forsure want a pair of clownfish.

I think a better question might be, what kind if fish do you like? There are literally hundreds of types of fish that would do great in a 20 long.
I suggest looking at a site like Live Aquaria and poking around to see what catches your eye. THEN use their chart to check compatibility, tank requirements, diet requirements and the like. Make an educated decision as to whether you can meet the needs of those particular fish and go from there!!
If you find a fish that you cant find enough info on to make an educated decision, feel free to post that question here and we'll get you some help.

If you are looking for suggestions, I really like firefish, gobies, and blennies in that size tank. Blennies have a ton of personality, but firefish have some great coloration and certain gobies have a cool symbiotic relationship with pistol shrimp.

A colony of barnacle and/or pike blennies, neon goby, firefish, rhino blenny, watchman goby/pistol shrimp pr, a Chrysiptera damsel, plectranthias, clown gobies, trimma and eviota gobies.

Live Aquaria's compatibility chart is a very general one, so posting specific fish will give you a better idea of their possible interactions.

As has been mentioned, checking requirements at liveaquaria is really your best bet, although I will say that I feel that a 20 Long qualifies as the 30 gallon minimum for most fish, due to it's dimensions.
