Hey. I currently have my biocube stocked with a pair of clowns, a pair of dartfish, and a rainfords goby. Also a decent sized CUC. I kind of regret the dart fish because they only add to the biolode and do nothing for keeping the tank clean etc..They are pretty though and seem to be thriving in the tank. Anyway I would love to eventually add a lawnmower blenny. Would that just be too much? I'd rather not take the dartfish back or anything. I just feel guilty doing that. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

A 32 gallon with 5 fish seems fairly well stocked to me on paper bioload wise. What filtration are you running on the tank?

If you have incredibly excellent filtration, then you might be able to go with a lawnmower blenny. But that's a might leaning towards the "better not to do it" side.

I wouldn’t do the lawnmower blenny. If you wanted a starry blenny or something then that’s cool but IMO and IME, lawnmowers need a lot of room to swim and graze and don’t do well in small tanks. So, even if your filtration is super jacked and can handle another fish, you’re better off with a different algae eater that has a better track record of surviving long term. I only warn because unfortunately, I starved one to death accidentally then got another a few years later and when I noticed it getting thin I gave it to my friend with a 200 gallon tank, it starved to death in there. IMO, lawnmowers are best left in the ocean because they haven’t taken to prepared foods very well and even if they look like they’re eating, they eventually starve

Thanks. I'm just going to stick with the current stocking. The last thing i want to do is starve a fish.
