Hi!

Been thinking about stocking ideas for a 75 gallon tank that I'm currently cycling. So here is the list:

2 Clownfish
2 Banggai Cardinalfish
1 Purple firefish
1 yellow watchman goby
1 Royal Gramma
1 longnose hawkfish
1 Coral Beauty
5 Chromis Viridis

So, what do you think? Thanks!

Chromis will kill each other in that small of a group.

Hawkfish are great fish but not always completely reef safe. He may eat cleaner shrimp. I'd consider adding a bristletooth or yellow tang for algae control. I'm also not a fan of dwarf angels, your coral beauty is likely to pick at LPS and softies.

Isn't yellow tang too big for a 75 gallon?

Dont know about the chromis ive never had any but everything else is fine

So, something like this to be on the safe side?

2 Clownfish
1 Banggai Cardinalfish
1 Purple firefish
1 yellow watchman goby
1 Royal Gramma
1 Bristletooth

I would like to eventually try my hand at a copperhead butterflyfish, but I have read how difficult is to feed them, and that they need at least a year old tank for the microfauna, so that's out of the question for now.

you can add a lot more fish than that if you want. if you want a cbb get one from dr reef they are already quarantined and eating frozen food, As long as they’re eating they are not so hard.
