Stocking a 180

I am in the works of planning a 180 peninsula tank. The tank will be a 60x30x24 size tank. I am making it on the minimalist side with 3 smaller islands. I want a very open feel to the tank for water to flow at all points of the tank. This is my stocking list for the tank which will have a 40 breeder sump and a skimz kone 201 or sro 3000.

1 kole tang
1 mimic lemon peel tang
3 resplendent anthias
3 ignitus anthias
3 dispar anthias
5 bg chromis
carpenter flasher trio is I can find it.

Thats a total of 19 fish in the system. I would really like to have 2-3 other types of wrasse. Would I be over stocked with this setup or would I be ok. I ave never owned a large system like this before so I am not certain of my limitations.

The only issue I see (( currently my biggest tank is a 75, but in the process of setting up a 210 )), is that those anthias will require a decent amount of food, so that might affect water quality. Can't speak about how all 9 of those well get along.

I think you might be ok, make sure the anthias are all female, and realize that you are likely going to be down to 1-2 chromi within 12-18 months of them going into the tank.

What I may do instead of the flasher wrasse trio is instead have 3 different fairy wrasse. I really love the hooded wrasse and was thinking about a pink margin fairy and an orange back fairy. I would of course love the standard hawaiian flame, rhomboid, and lineatus but dont have $500 to spend on 1 pair. Any other suggestions? I really want it to look like a community tank with lots of movement but not over crowded look. I love schooling fish, I just want it to look like the barrier reef basically lol.

I would get all of the wrasses you mentioned But you could also mix it up between Fairy, Flasher, Leopard, Halichoeres, etc. Just need a completely covered top and a sand bed.

I think I may scratch the anthias and make it a more wrasse dominated reef. My question is do fairy wrasse need to have a female present in order to have intense coloration. I plan to have 5-6 fairy wrasse in the 180 but dont know if i necessarily want or could find females. the 5 would be, rhomboid, orange back, lubbock, hooded, and either a lineatus or pink margin. Would you recommend females? could i do lineatus and pink margin? I am looking for evolved's expertise if hes around!

No females needed. Multiple males of different species serves the same purpose. Your list looks great too. I haven't never kept both C. lineatus & C. rubrimarginatus, however I know of others who have with no issues. Use an acclimation box with each new addition.
